چکیده
ABSTRACT INTRODUCTION: The human papillomavirus (HPV) detection favors treatments for patients with clinical manifestations and limits future consequences those asymptomatic infections. OBJECTIVES: Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate sensitivity of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) HPV from oral mucosa samples, laryngeal papillomatosis. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A total 49 pediatric patient samples were obtained by exfoliation a sterile brush. deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was extracted used detection, using GP5 GP6 oligonucleotides, conventional PCR qPCR reactions. RESULTS: Among eight clinically diagnosed papillomatosis, but in both technic, only one sample had presented positivity. DISCUSSION: These results suggest that type, methodology collect, extraction used, anatomical location lesion oligonucleotides used; all factors strongly influence methodology. CONCLUSION: Thus, more studies are needed better determine collection, processing techniques reproducibility on detection.

Detection of HPV in oral rinse samples from OPSCC and non-OPSCC patients
BACKGROUND Due to the increasing rates of oropharyngeal cancer, oral HPV infection is a significant concern. Methods for detecting oral HPVs is not standardized as there are different techniques available. We propose that use of oral rinse samples to detect for HPVs is a suitable technique within a clinic setting. Thus, our main objective is to study HPV detection in oral rinse samples. METHO...
